Here are a few of the travel posters based on bad reviews that I have received so far. Don't forget to turn in your planning sketches and screen shot the review. Below are some of the new and improved license plate designs. Enjoy!

Good morning! I am loving the design projects I have seen so far!! I will be posting them to the blog later today so be sure to check them out. You should continue working this week on which ever project you have not completed yet (license plate design or bad travel review posters). Make sure you are checking the requirements. Several of you sent your designs without planning sketches or copies of the review you were working from. Make sure you are turning in all components. I am looking forward to seeing the other designs. I will be posting our next project later this week.
Good morning! I hope you have all had a safe and productive week at home. Please turn in via email either your Travel posters or your license plate re-designs. Make sure you are checking the assignment description. You should turn in planning sketches along with your work. Also remember that for your travel posters you should not be using the National Parks (those have already been done). You are selecting a widely traveled attraction and using a bad yelp review (or from Trip advisor or other travel site)as your tag line. You must screen shot the review that you are using and email that as well. I will post the projects on the blog for all of us to view. One is due today, the other next Friday. Remember when you have a week to work on something it should reflect a week's worth of work.
I miss you all and I can't wait to hear from each of you! Since none of us are able to travel right now, I thought it would be fun to do some travel inspired design work. Your first 2 at home assignments are posted below. You may do them in any order, you will just need to email one to me this Friday, March 20th and the 2nd project the following Friday, March 27th. I will post your work on the blog so you can get feedback from your classmates. You will need planning sketches!! So make sure you email those along with the finished pieces. You may work digitally or physically. I am really excited to see what you all come up with! If you need any help or want to throw around some ideas please don't hesitate to contact me. You can reach me daily by email and I will try to get back to you very quickly.
I can't wait to see all of your Flat Lay photo compositions! I am attaching the project guidelines here along with the images we discussed in class. Remember you must submit the final photos along with a selfie of you and your selected objects.
Everyone should consider submitting a project for the Wheeler STEAM symposium on March 25. See me for me details about how to enter. Your chair projects are perfect for this event!
I am loving all of the unique ideas for tiny doors so far! Construction is underway. If you need something specific for your door please let me know and I will do my best to get what you need. Check back soon for pictures of our progress. SketchbooksRemember your sketchbook is due every Monday. Today we are looking at your 8 doors and a few words about what we might find behind them.
We have started our first project of the semester! We are learning about the history of chair design and developing our ability to convey information visually. Click below for project specifics.
